I haven't fitted one but recall driving a friend's Mk 2 with this conversion on several occasions, including a trip across France. It worked well giving a nice positive gearchange and sensible ratios. On that basis, I'd definitely say that it's a conversion worthy of consideration. Mike.

I fitted this conversion earlier this year, and can recommend it. It has transformed the way the car drives. No more whiny gearbox and clunky changes, much easier in traffic and makes the car far more usable. There were a few problems with fitting, namely the rear mount had to be modified slightly to clear the forward UJ of the new propshaft, and the rear engine steady had to be modified slightly, but on the whole it all fitted together nicely. Car is a 1964 3.8 Mk2, previously MOD with Moss box.
