Found approx 250ml of ATF in the drip tray out of the auto gearbox, no obvious site of where it had come from. Ran car on axle stands, but no leak, lowered the car and topped the box up and left paper in the now clean tray to see where it drips from.
Anyone else traced mystery oil leaks and can point me in the right direction?

Re: Daimler V8 BW 35 oil leak
I have a leak from the rear gearbox seal. It has leaked since a new one was installed- I live with it!

Re: Daimler V8 BW 35 oil leak
I have replaced the sump pan seal and used a silicone seal manufactured to address the potential for leaks on this joint. Flushed the box a couple of times to freshen up the fluid. After a couple of weeks slight leakage from LH rear corner and all the bolts needed a nip up. Test run to put the box through a heat cycle and no leaks to date. May never be totally dry but definitely a step in the right direction. Rear seal seems OK at present as well as selector shaft seals.
