From Bob Bate - Static ignition timing data for article

Postby BobBate » Tue Sep 08, 2015 9:11 am

Hi, this is Bob Bate.
For the current series of articles I’m trying to locate static ignition timing data for several Mark 2 Jaguars with distributors that are not listed in the Service Manual. If anybody has one of the following cars with the stated compression ratio (CR) in the engine number ranges listed and the original owners literature I’d be grateful if you would contact me by email at bobjecuk@aol.com

2.4 Mark 2 – 8:1 CR
BH8937 onwards

3.4 Mark 2 – 7:1 and 8:1 CR
KH8333 to KH9999
KJ1001 to KJ6897
KJ6898 onwards

3.4 Mark 2 – 9:1 CR
KJ6898 onwards

340 – 7:1 CR
7J50001 onwards

3.8 Mark 2 – 7:1 and 8:1 CR
LC5355 to LC9999
LE1001 to LE2046
LE2047 onwards

3.8 Mark 2 – 9:1 CR
LE2047 onwards

Hi Bob,
Slightly off kilter, but if you do not know the answer to that question, what hope has anyone else got?
