engine fails to turn over

just a short tip on replacing your slave cylinder on the mk2 my cylinder came with two bolts one longer than the other if the long one goes in the wrong side it comes into contact with the flywheel and will lock the engine i am not sure if the bolts come up in differant lenghts from the factory but i do know that when i replaced an engine and box many years ago it drove me and several friends mad trying to solve the problem as to why the car would not crank. i can laught about it now after i tried everything from a new battery to towing before finding the fault
