Hello Paul,

I have a video I bought years ago on dismantling and rebuilding an XK engine. Produced by Ron Beaty (Ex Jaguar development engineer) and it is very good with lots of tips etc.

Just to reinforce the value of that video you've got, a friend of mine had his E-Type engine rebuilt by Ron Beaty years back and, in my experience, that engine (still going strong by the way) is the best XK engine it has ever been my pleasure to drive. It was bored out to 4.5 litres, with triple webers, but no idea what else was done to it. I drove it at a limited track session at Le Mans in the early nineties and have genuinely never experienced the smooth power delivery and almost terrifying speed the engine was able to deliver. Whether it's the most powerful XK engine I've ever sat behind is a good question, but the balance of the engine is just unbelievable. So if you have any way of sharing that video, and would be happy to do so, I'd love to see it!
