I want to replace the 'frying pan' air filter on my Mk2 3.4 1967 with pancakes - any suggestions / recommendations? Richard
Re: pancake air filters
I got some years back , was not many years before the foam filter started to fall to bits , I did replace it with wire from one of the kitchen pads .
I don't use them anymore , PM me if you are interested to buy , I will send you pics , think they are stainless steel !

Re: pancake air filters
Hello Richard,
I have no personal experience but I have read lots of mostly negative views on other forums due to their restrictive nature. Compared to the Cooper standard fitting pancake filters are very much smaller in area.
Your car, your choice?
Alec

Re: pancake air filters
I have found the standard filter very good and lasts well.
