Hello all,
if any of you have seen the Ron Beaty (Forward Engineering) video of building an XK engine, there is a scene where a simple looking valve spring compressor is used. It is simply a cylindrical shaped device which you push down on to remove or replace the collets. The valves are kept in place by a purpose built board with protrusions on which the cylinder head sits.
I've looked at various tool suppliers and never seen anything like that one. Does anyone have any knowledge of this? Stupidly, I attended the XK engine seminar and didn't think to ask any of the experts there?
Alec
