Position of switch for glove box light

Postby Alexk22 » Wed Mar 02, 2022 7:16 pm

In my 1961 mk2 3.8l there is no switch for the glove box light, although there is wiring for it. I've got hold of a second hand one and am planning to get it installed while my dashboard is being reveneered. However, it's not clear where it goes. There are pictures of mk2s (or possibly S-types) with the switch inset into the bottom edge of the glove box door surround, and others with it on a special bracket in the top right hand corner of the glove box opening. Is this a function of the year? Any insights would be very welcome. Thanks in advance Alex

Good morning
I happen to have my glove box removed on my Mark II 3.8 and have taken some images which may help. Unfortunately they are too large to attach to this Club link so email me at fandcjsharp@hotmail.com and I will send them to you.
Regards
Frank
