123 initial settings

I have just bought 123/JAG-6-R-V for my 1959 Mark 2 with 8:1 head.

I have a new set of Magnecor leads a standard coil.

I will eventually take it to my local rolling road, but it would be helpful to know which of the 16 settings is a good starting point.

Hello Tony,

the best is to follow the Jaguar original distributor settings. Whether you will get a 123 setting that's near is pot luck. Whatever you do, do not use a greater total advance than the original setting , i.e. static plus full mechanical advance.
