Battery replacement

I have not had any opportunity to use my Mark 2 for some time and lacking a trickle charger to keep the battery charged I have now got the battery charging. I would like some feedback regarding a good source for a replacement. From what I’ve seen there are two ways of approaching this, one is the “looks like an original” way but maybe not as potent battery ( plus you need to supply your own acid)
Or the modern looking alternative which can be bought local although when you visit the website it’s hard to track down the Mark 2 ,E types are reasonably well catered for so getting one that is suitable for them could be the answer.
I’m in the Kent Essex area so if anything local is available I would be interested

I took the measurements of the space available , and the size of the original strap , to the local battery supplier , and asked for a heavy duty battery close to that size !

I have fittead a cut out switch , with a key , on removing the key the battery is isolated , so can't drain the battery !!

I've used them for many years on all my vehicles, a reliable and quality battery is far more important then what it looks like. Supplied fully filled and ready to go (although a good charge before 1st use is always good practice).

My car is still positive earth and I got a battery from Halfords 12 years ago and it is still going strong (touch wood), it was a HD one. I use a C-tek battery charger whenever I do not intend to use the car for a while (which is quite often as I only take it out once or twice a month to keep things working).
