Headlights 1962 2.4L

My 1962 2.4L Mk2 is fitted with non-sealed beam units with flat glass. The reflectors are getting a little rusted and I should like to replace them keeping the car as original as possible. As I don't have a parts catalogue can anyone advise me the correct parts number, when I might find a suitable pdf parts catalogue and whether they are still available at a reasonable cost please.

Thanks Paul, I gave them a ring and unfortunately the flat glass early lights have not been re-tooled for manufacture hence they cannot help. Advised auto jumbles which is a pain. I thought about separating the glass from the reflector for re-silvering at a chrome platers, but that seems a very difficult job too and subject to the chance of shattering the glass, which is the original part I am trying to keep.

Shame about that. Not sure exactly what the 'flat' glass lights look like but have you tried Holdens? (https://www.holden.co.uk/displayProduct ... s+%2D+7%22) or these http://www.retroclassiccarparts.com/contact-details or https://secure.classic-car-accessories. ... IGHTS.html. The latter seem to have flatter units which are not as domed as the usual ones.

Thank you for those links, the ones from Bowers look very interesting and excellent value. At that price who cares about originality when it comes to headlights.

That's a coincidence, I recall seeing those headlamps back in the day and only recently have been trying to find out what they were, might be wrong but read up in a book they were called Lucas Flat Faced headlamps with a reference of 51767/F700, the bulbs might have been 60/36 watt....

Have searched for a pair far and wide and found nothing so far....
