My rhd 1964 Mk2 has a heated rear screen fitted but has no wiring to it. It had some renovation done some years ago including a new wiring harness but the rear windscreen was never connected up. There are 2 wires coming from the screen -one goes to earth and the other is unconnected. I have purchased an illuminated switch to attach to the dashboard but have no idea how to connect it up. I presume it will need a wiring harness.
Can anyone advise how to go about this please.

Re: Heated rear windscreen rewiring
If you google mk2 jag rear window heater wiring, on the page of pictures there is one showing the wiring. One wire goes to ground and the other goes to a relay on pin 87. Pin 85 on the relay is ground, pin 30 is the power from the battery via a 8A fuse. Pin 86 is the positive switched ignition via the rocker switch.
Hope this helps.

Hopefully you should be able to see it from this.
If this one doesn't help then I'll have a look for a different one.
