65 S type 3.8 Pas , Stopped Charging , where to start pls ?

Is it an alternator or dynamo?

How do you know its not charging?

MY2000 3ltr S type manual standard car with leather seats, cruise control and mistral blue metallic paint.

1961 3.8 MkII manual, Indigo blue, nolonger runs on LPG, everything else uprated

looks like a Dynamo with the PAS bolted to the back ? .

With the engine stationary measure the Battery voltage with a volt meter and record the reading. Start the engine ,run at 1500rpm and take another reading and record the reading.
The second reading should be higher than the first reading - tell us the results of your findings and we will go from there.

Thank u for your help guys , to update u the Battery wasn't being charged so ive removed the Dynamo and the regulator and sent them away for a recon { £200 } , i wait their return , Russ
