Hi Guys, looking for a bit more advice please. All around the inside openings of the mark 2 shell, fixed to the inside is a square rubber, to which the furflex, headling, etc is glued. Does anyone know where i can get this from ? - I've tried the usual supliers, plus Woolies, plus Baines, but no one seems to know what I'm talking about. The rubber is a sort hard, laminated affair around 16 -20mm square. Can't post a picture, 'cos it all went when I had the shell dipped at surface processing !
cheers !!

Hello Bignose,
plywood cut to shape was also used by Jaguar I seem to think. The rubber you are talking about is similar to industrial conveyor belting which if you are in the right place may be a possibility? Alternatively how about a rubber extrusion such as these?
http://www.silex.co.uk/hres/strip.pdf. If you scroll down the list to the last two pages, there is 16mm and 19 mm square for instance?

Hi Bignose,
Barratt's list two possible items: BD11605TACK, described as "Wooden tacking strip for furflex per metre" and JMK2/FFT,described as "Furflex tacking strip (req approx 9m)". I dare say a chat to them would tell you which might be suitable for you.
Regards
Terry
