Seat Belts

Postby ncatling » Wed Jul 12, 2017 11:48 am

I have a 1963 MK2 3.4. It is very original but I would like to fit front (inertia reel) seat belts.
Can anyone recommend a company that could do this?
I live in East Sussex. Thanks!

Hi, This company do them: but I haven't used them (yet) so cannot vouch for them.

I used Safety Belt Services. Pricing good, service excellent. Quick Fit didn't reply to any of my emails...
Jaguar 3.4 Mk2. As original as I can keep it whilst still being safe!

I have been looking for replacements for my Series 1. Tempted by SC Parts, who do a chrome buckle with leaper and good range of webbing colours, but v expensive. They are based in Crawley.

Hi, I bought mine from Quickfit belts & fitted them myself they supply all the fixings needed.
I've got a 62 mk2 and it has got the floor & upper B post fixing points already built in
all you need drill a hole in the lower B post to fit the inertia part.
Mine have brown webbing to match the intior colour and chrome aircraft style buckle they
will supply with leaper logo if thats what you want.

I have made a decision and ordered a pair of front IR buckle belts from Quickfit Safety Belts. Although the headline price is v competitive, when you add in the extras for CP fittings, leaper logo and delivery etc the price comes up to that quoted by SC Parts.

They make to order - delivery about 3 - 4 weeks.

Hi,
Thanks to everyone who responded to my request. I have booked the car in to "QuickFit Safety Belts" for this Thursday where they will fit the belts that I choose when I get there.
I'll post another reply when the job is done!

Thanks,
Neil

I have just taken delivery of new belts from Quickfit with all chrome fittings for my series 1. Fitted them this morning. Very pleased.
