I have a Mk 2 Jaguar, does anyone know if it has a real window demister ?

Hello Info899,

heated rear screens were an optional extra and if fitted originally is operated by a pull switch, with warning light on the extreme right of the dash adjacent to the brake warning lamp.

My Daimler V8 was supplied with a rear screen demister. It is the type with a fine wire embodied on the glass. No switch is present it works continuously off an ignition supplied circuit and still works fine after 58 years. Presumably this was an option on the Jaguar models.
