At Patrick's suggestion I am posting here to see if I strike lucky. I owned this car in the eighties and would love to know her story...
Today I can see on the DVLA vehicle check site that OGX 295E is still registered, though not taxed since 97, and with a badly failed MOT showing in April 2007. I am wondering if she is a whole car still, or just a rusting wreck being broken for spares. If anyone can help with the status of the car, knows the owner or can give the whereabouts of this car I would love to hear from them. Perhaps she may even be for sale?

Good luck with your search. I don't think that failure sheet is too onerous and I can only think it was undertaken to assess the car prior to returning to the road. It doesn't have any comments for body structural corrosion so OGX may have been in other wise good condition at the time. Hopefully it is being kept somewhere dry. Fingers crossed for a happy outcome.
