X308 Fuel Pump No Power

Good morning.

I was wondering if someone would be kind enough to provide me with some advice.

Two years ago my 99 3.2 Sport ground to a halt one day and refused to restart.The problem was caused by the blowing of Fuse 7 in the luggage compartment fuse box. The dealer advised me this was a result of a faulty ECU starter relay (or what I recall being told was the ECU starter relay). The same thing has happened again and I would like to repair it myself if it is a simple fix involving a relay exchange.

Could you confirm there is such a thing as a ECU starter relay and advise where I can find it?

Boot Fuse 7 is the Fuel Pump 20A. Fuel pumps do go, I've had one fail on an '01MY Exec. My pump went intermittent though coz the fuel filter bag was blocked up. Changed both for new, what a difference!

To change fuel pump it's usually drop down rear chassis plate then remove fuel tank as both pump and filter are inboard of the tank

You can check whether your getting fuel up by undoing the Schrader valve in the fuel pipeline.
Tyre air valve tool needed -- it's underneath the black screw on plastic cap
