chrome grill required

hi,
i have a standard 98 xj8 (x308) with a chrome grill with sort of blackish/greyish rods/bars in it.
i think that jaguar sovereigns of the era have the same grill, but all chrome.

can anyone confirm this and if so has anyone got one knocking about for me to buy?

ALAN....i think the standard Sov grill was a chrome one but have you tried just scatching the paint in an out of view place to see if there is chrome under the paint.........some people actually painted the down bars to match the body colour.....and i think the down bars do come out as a unit so possibly a replacement set will be available.......try Eurojag he may have just what you need ...........Joe

i sort of hoped that a forum member had changed his chromy grill for a sport or xjr one and had a pristine chrome one in the shed allbeit covered in cobwebs
anyways, my baby is in on tuesday to have its front wheel bearings replaced and a brand new mot issued- hopefully....
