Hi everyone

Below are photos of a wooden steering wheel that I'm building for my X308. It is still to be finished and painted.
This is a prototype that I decided to build to see if I was capable of a similar job. The wood used is walnut. The construction method is lamellar. The metal core and the hub are recovered from an original donor steering wheel. After this steering wheel I intend to build another one in mahogany wood. What do you think?

Looks very well crafted so far - looking forward to seeing it all lacquered and polished
