yep, it had expired. I was in the process of renewing. I guess the insurers stance is that in anticipation of failing an MOT we should allow plenty of time for any work (which is obviously an unknown amount before going through an MOT) to be done...

To add insult to injury the bobby assigned to my case has done naff all about it over the weekend and/or monday and is now off until friday. so thats helpful... not even looking at it for a week essentially.
