Welcome to the club Dave. You have one of the last real Jags there. My XJ8 also had air suspension issues which were costly to resolve. Two new front struts at £1400 plus VAT each! Still, well worth it. Enjoy your new toy!

Welcome back indeed, and good choice of car. Just have the rear sub frame checked for corrosion. If it’s all good, have it undersealed as a precaution. Enjoy the drive!

Well done Swallow. Excellent news. I have a 15 year old X358 with 39K and have already had the dreaded management light scanned to bank 2 too lean. I may be after the new pipes soon.

I bought a 2009 XJ8 Sovereign 4.2 normally aspirated in February. X358 final edition. It is a superb car. Comfortable and plenty of power when you need it. Sorry Tony…it had to be done. However, no EML and Prestige happy it was a one off glitch. Back home (another 95 miles) and all good. New air struts on the front.

95 mile trip tomorrow leaving at 5.30 am to Prestige Jaguar in Paisley. Another two front air struts to be fitted . I’ll keep an eye on the EML. Last time it came on was after a ‘spirited’ overtake….. :roll……fingers crossed.

The code reader is due to arrive Tuesday and I have to phone Douglas at Prestige Jaguar then anyway to make sure he can take the car on Wednesday To fit yet another two front struts. I’ll tell him what the reader says and he can sort things out. I’ll post an update when I get the ...
