Cheers guys. I did mean the door frames. The chromes themselves are in good condition. The actual frame under the chromes is rusting and pushing the chromes out. Is the door one piece or can you buy new frames ?

Sorry if this had posted before but I can't find any info. I have a 1998 LWB. The chromes on the rear doors are bulging out, due to rust underneath. Can the chromes be removed and the rust treated or are new doors required?

Simon, If it opens with the fob button but not by activating the button on the boot lid, it could be the bootlid button itself, which is a known failure point. Hi guys, new to J.E.C. Got a 1998 xj8. The doors open with the unlock button on the fob but the boot does not. However it will open with the boot button on the fob. Tried pushing the valet button but this does nothing, only bleeps at me. Tried opening the boot with the key as suggested on google but...
