Bought a pollen filter co,s hay fever seems to be a bit worse this year, proceeded to fit new one and found that there aint an old one!
Done a bit of research and it seems that these were an optional extra on a 2002 XKR. Is this true?

I know the locks are a problem, what attention did you give your lock?
I,ve seen them for sale at daft prices, with holes drilled in them being passed as "Refurbished"! Is it just lubrication they require?

Hi, Don,t want to be prophet of doom but I had the same fault on my previous XK at about the same mileage. The cause was the input shaft which totally failed in the end

Seems like a common problem, my 2001 sounds like shutting the door on a 1971 Moskvich 412 " Ghia"

P.S You may find that on an early model that the tensioners have been upgraded.

As for abnormal tyre wear the car was running on 20" wheels before I bought it, the vendor swapped these for double fives from a cabriolet he also owned so if it is a tyre ...

Hi ,my 2001my XKR is suffering from what i can only discribe as bump steering, that is when i go over pot hole or depressed manhole cover on the near side the car has a nasty twitch , but this dosn,t happen on the off side . I,ve checked the obvious i.e bushes,ball joints ect, can,t see any problems...
