The above are required for the JEC 30th birthday bash Timeline at Thoresby Hall in Nottinghamshire which will (as far as is possible) consist of one of every model Jaguar ever produced and will include Swallows and post 1960 Daimlers. Owners who can help are invited to contact Letitia Mace with deta...

Re: Brakes Sticking On (Series II)
I don't know if this is where you read it but on page 24 of the April 2011 issue of the enthusiast magazine are Colin Ford's E-type Tips that he presented at the earlier seminar and one of which addresses sticking brakes on cars using the Lockheed servo. He advises a low cost & fairly simple job on ...

Re: Fumes in cockpit of Series 3 Roadster
Thanks Ray, I did suspect something like that but the chap who looks after my car said he'd checked it all for leaks and thought the fumes were somehow being sucked in from the rear exhaust pipes. However I doubt it was done under pressure so I'll look to getting that avenue explored - you don't nee...

Fumes in cockpit of Series 3 Roadster
I keep getting the above with the hood up or down in varying degrees when I deccelerate, I think it may be something to do with aerodynmic created air pressures but I can't fathom out where they are being sucked in from - can anybody offer any suggestions please?

S3 V12 steering wheel [faulty] horn push mechanism
P1020719 (Large).JPG P1020720 (Large).JPG The pictures show part of the link from the horn push to the slip ring taking the electrical connection from the adjustable steering column but we can't determine whether there is something missing or whether part of it is damaged. Can anyone shed any light...

Clive's mobile 'phone number & email address are on the Club Information page [6] of the enthusiast magazine & should also be somewhere on this website. If he can't help perhaps someone local to you could, I think you're in Shropshire Stuart where Ray Searles is involved with the Region (and he's go...

Re: Technical issues/about BB/E Type forum
After 40 years wanting one I got lucky with some privatised utility shares (thanks to Maggie Thatcher) and bought my 1972 Series 3 Roadster off ebay aged 57; 5 years & 17,000 miles later I'm still realising my dream.

Radio & speaker(s) for 1965 Series I 4.2 Coupé ?
A member in the Netherlands has asked me where he might find the dimensions & fitting details of the system and/or how to get hold of an authentic/original one - or at least suitable speaker(s), can anybody help?

Re: Get me to the church on time….
Hi Clive, my S3 Roadster took me to the NEC Show (top up of course) but after a clean out, wash, & polish is now covered up in the garage for the winter. Hopefully there'll be the odd fine day when we can have a run up the road just to keep things ticking over [mine & hers]. Looking forward to next ...

Re: Paint Codes
Hi Clive, I had a similar enquiry on paint code numbers a couple of years ago and Peter Ford (Colin's brother) told me there are a few lists, all different, but ICI were the suppliers to Jaguar. This confusion is one of the reasons why we didn't include them on the E-Type Register but I would have t...

Series 3 V12 Starter Motor
In clearing out my garage I've come across the old one which I replaced a couple of years ago because after weeks of trying to solve an intermittent starting problem my mechanic & I gave up and fitted a refurbished one. It failed to turn the engine so we believed it was a dodgy solenoid but never ac...
