Re: LED bulbs and bulb failure system
Ok, as the module is not going to be doing anything anyway once you fit LEDs, why not just loop the wires at the module that are detecting the low current draw?

Re: 1985 XJ-SC Fog Light Installation
Not sure if it will answer your question, but the PDF download from this page has some helpful info on all things XJ-S with a section on fog lights.

Re: How to access ECU & Transmission Control Unit
This is a handy and cheap set to keep around the garage for odd tamper proof screws https://www.amazon.co.uk/Hi-Spec-Extensive-Ratcheting-Magnetic-Screwdriver/dp/B074XTC8PX/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?dchild=1&keywords=Security+Screwdriver+Set&qid=1630360306&sr=8-1-spons&psc=1&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUExT...

Glad you have found the problem and let us all know.
As that relay had corroded contacts, it might be worth your while going around all the others and giving them a good spray with electrical contact cleaner!
Take care, Peter

Re: ULEZ and updating DVLA records
Well I contacted Jaguar customer service and they sent me a certificate of conformity.
This I was able to send digitally to TFL and now my car has been excepted as meeting the correct standard.
So all good now.

Wellcome and my I say lovely car!
Fuel smell is a warning sign, and not to be ignored.
If it is a V12 then the injection hoses may need renewing soon to avoid an engine fine.

Re: Xj6 stereo series 3
It looks from there web site that they work on units with dial tunners not a digital display, but it’s worth asking them. I had these people (Steve Smith) add Bluetooth to my X300 radio and I am very happy with it. Sadly at the time couldn’t add dab but that might have changed. https://retrocaraudio...

ULEZ and updating DVLA records
Hello, I have just checked on the transport for London web site and it tells me that my 2003 X350 is liable to pay for driving in the ULEZ. I didn’t believe this was correct so went to the DVLA site and for my car it shows CO2 emissions not available Then using autotrader I found the number plate fo...

Re: Air Con or Something else
Great news that you are now running cool. As you are having a new crank sensor fitted you may feel like some ‘Free’ (well reasonable cost) extra performance at the same time and consider seeing if your car qualifies for an ‘Andy Bracket’. I have one on my XJR6 and highly recommend it. He has made ov...

Excellent news that you have found the problem.
It wouldn’t be that expensive, and if they want much more that £120 give these people a go (not used them, just first on a google search).

Re: Air Con or Something else
Reading the excellent PDF Andy sent, it sounds like you have it all set correctly. One think to check is what happens when you press the econ button. This in effect turns the AC on and off. If you press this repeatedly, do you hear the clutch engage/disengage? You should (the revs will change moment...

Re: List ignition. Help
Hopefully just a blip and you will get home in one piece, but I think, when home, I would be changing the crank sensor as its cheap and does go wrong at just the wrong moment lol

Re: List ignition. Help
Oh sorry to hear of your problems. What year is your car? There is not a great deal you can do in a hotel car park, but maybe check the fuel pump relay. If you can find a parts shop it could be worth getting some electrical contact cleaner and give the contacts a good spray. It might be worth swappi...
