Hi The colling system on the XK is slightly more complex than most cars, in that the heater has its own water pump. I have attached a diagram showing the water path. The pump and valve are 5 and 7. Hi Door liner? do you mean the door card? If so, the door card is held in pace by plastic pop studs around its perimeter, plus two screws - one behind the door open handle on the inside, and one under the armrest. You need to remove the window/mirror switch pack, which is held in with one screw too....

Right, Had it to bits,looks like its that cassette thing thats at fault, no continuity through it, ordered a new one, anyone ever fitted one?
