hi, the 2 easiest ways to identify if its an etype box is by the length of the box as an etype box is shorter than the others, you would have to have the propshaft cut down to put a non etype box in. The other way is by the numbers on the box. regards oz

The last thing you need is to try and cut down the stripping down job because of the danger of small bits of metal getting into things ...

Yeh i see what you mean. They are all probably quite simple things to sort out though i would expect. Most of the time those lights going on and off is just the connection between the bulb holder where it pushes in to the panel holder. The E Types have exactly the same problem.
