How much did you pay for your leather?
I am surprised your local scrapper let you do that!
Most scrap yard would want you to buy the whole seat, if your going to do that, as the seats are useless/worthless afterwards.

Help! trying to change upper flap motor
Cheers Mr dove thats great news! :D I had seen other post suggesting you need to take the dash out and really did not fancy that. I will have a go at tackling that job some time soon, although with an imminent house move that could be later rather than sooner. Thanks again. PaulB. P.s. i will make s...

Help! trying to change upper flap motor
Not sure if this is the same thing, but i need to get into the blower? anyway its the thing thats got a board inside it where the diode blows. I think you need to take out the dash for that. Anyway the point i was trying to get at, is if anyone has done this already, and photographed the process whi...

True or false?
Cheers BB, I think after reading that i have slightly gone off the idea. especially as my steering rack is working fine with no leaks etc. I suppose i could perhaps fit my nice poly bushes to my existing rack, which said part is sat in my filing cabinet under unfitted. That sounds like a more do-abl...

True or false?
Can anyone tell for sure if this is true or false? Is an xjrs steering rack better than an xjs steering rack? If so, why so? I am led to believe you can swap them straight over, but i wont be doing that if there is no real difference /advantage. I have also heard you can swap an old type pre face li...

Fibre optic light source
Just thought regarding this post, but how about fitting a hi powered Led as the light source if you were repairing/replacing.
They are low voltage and low current and also produce very little if any heat.

bleeding car!
Sorry iain, but there is going to be no convincing me they are a good idea. Particularly after reading this (As a footnote, I have owned both a 3.6 (inboard) and my current 4.0 (outboard) and there is no discernable difference in handling. ) From your post, which doesnt surprise me in the least that...

4 got 2 mention, interestingly the jaguar manual suggests you bleed the car in a different order to how you would normally do a car. Cant remember the exact details, but it suggest you do the rear right first, then rear left and the go to the front. To be honest it seems to make sense to me, that yo...

Your Quite right there Kels, Did the job at the weekend, there is no pipe/line going into the bleed nipple so as you said you dont need to butcher your ring spanners. However i am sticking to my original prognosis as far as inboard brakes are concerned they are a sh1t idea. What a bugger o...

Not to everybodies taste
Very nice, good job! I like the interior, was that the original style/design or your own styling? I like the exterior body work, nice to see a sporty looking xjs and not another smoking jacket and slippers cruiser. There both good, as either standard and subtle or a bit more race'y, lets see ...

thanks very much bb, i can see you must be a fan of the inboard brakes, but i am not entirely convinced they are so great. My main reasoning being that if it was such a good idea, all the other manufacturers would have done it, and also would be using it today. Also i am a bit put off the inboard id...

After replacing my damaged brake line, and flaring my new lines with my e bay 10 quid tool! i am now ready to bleed the system, i am just doing a quick post to see if anyone could offer any advice to doing this. The front end should be relatively easy, its the back of the car i am slightly wo...
