Re: HD6 Carbs - What Are They Worth
Thanks gents very much for replies so far. My web search turfed up SU Carbs themselves advertising at £1100 + VAT and a US site (can't remember who) at $2100. I came across that SU data table online which suggested the 3.8, but other sites suggested the wider range I mentioned in my spiel - maybe it...

HD6 Carbs - What Are They Worth
Could anyone give me an idea of what I should ask for selling these carburettors? Have just stuck them on ebay with start price of £90, but suddenly realised some JEC members will have more idea of a price than my guess! Fully refurbished can fetch over £1000 when I had a look on the web - seems cra...

Brake Servo Rebuild

I've sourced a hydraulic cylinder seal kit (readily available around £30) and luckily having the air cannister seal etc in ...

Hose Kit Problems
I recently bought for my Mk2 2.4 from SNG hose kit HK013R, made by trade supplier Auto Suppliers Kidderminster, their part number AS13411. Various other major Jaguar suppliers also use HK013 part number, but whether from Auto Supplies I don't know. Auto Supplies say they manufacture from a database...

Smiths Clocks - Mk2 and Other Models
As a rusty electronics engineer I was interested in Mark Willow’s ‘Ticker Transplant’ clock article in April’s Mk2 Forum. However in practical terms, unless he or someone else produces and installs this commercially, I’d suspect that building or even fitting a conversion kit would be beyond all but...
