Im not sure if the later cars have immobiliser chips built into the keys?

I have had a similar problem with 2 of my previous cars and It turned out with both that there was a fault with the immobiliser chips in each key?

Though I know nothing about Jaguar keys?

Indeed! Spannering has in fact already started, Coolant header tank has been replaced as it had started leaking (such is the way of things!!!)
