A 'hot' smell when the sunroof is open
I'm not sure what it is but if I drive along with the sunroof open, I get a smell in the car. The only way I can describe it is that its like hot paint. I don't know where its coming from - the car had a respray a few years ago but surely any overspray would have gone/been burnt off by now. Its defi...

why do it?
Aaah! Jags and Triumphs... now that's a combination :D . All we need now is for someone to throw in a couple of Nortons for good measure and it'll make what the best of british was all about. The more I drive my XJS the more I like it - it never fails to put a smile on my face, but I agree with Paul...

why do it?
Well, the xjs might not be particularly fast, but I'm not looking to make mine go faster, really  I've got a fireblade and a triumph daytona for that, and both will do 0-100 in about 6 seconds, topping out around 170+mph (but never in the UK, honestly officer). I'd like to mod the XJS just to h...

Servicing - who to recommend in the RH2/CR0 area
Paul, I spoke to them today to get some advice on an v12 s3 I am thinking about buying. Got some good advice and I have my XJS booked in there for next week. I spoke to another independent dealer not a million miles away from Box Hill and what a waste of time the conversation with them was. All I wa...

Opinions on conversion to manual gearbox and other mods...
I like the idea of the mods myself. Hosier77 - thanks for the advice - I don't expect I'll get much change out of £2k for the gearbox and other bits. If I do do it, I'll probably go for a Tremec TKO or T5/T56 and get it shipped over, unless I can get it cheaper in the UK. Didn't know about the 3.6 d...

Servicing - who to recommend in the RH2/CR0 area
Can anyone recommend a good Jag specialist in Croydon or Reigate - just general servicing and occasional maintenance?

Opinions on conversion to manual gearbox and other mods...
I know its a lot of expense, and I'd be spending money which I would never recoup, but I'm having thoughts about converting my a '90 V12 to a manual gearbox. A friend of mine has a 3.6 manual and it seems a lot quicker off the mark (but then again, so does my '91 Le mans V12, although not by much). ...
