I am hoping that someone with an X300 will be inquisitive enough to want to find out what is going on with their electronic fuel system. I have some experiences and I am concerned not much is understood about these.

Are you using a scan tool (via the OBD-II connector) or a digital voltmeter into the flow meter itself?

Did you fix it?
My CPS went and showed symptoms just like yours. Sometimes it would start, limp round the block and run very rich. One day the car wouldn't start at all.
My garage (D&C Autos) replaced the CPS and all OK now.

Have you taken a reading from the sensor to see if it is the duff part of the system?
Can you read via the ECU, or using a voltmeter on the connector pins?

If anyone wants a diagnostics check up on their car, let me know. I have a scan tool which works on my X300 (Daimler Six) N reg. I found out the oxygen sensor (sometimes also incorrectly called the lambda sensor) heater element was not working. I replaced the oxygen sensor (again!) now all is well! ...

Any one know the pin out for the X type diesel dashboard cluster? Mine has 2 connectors. I am looking to do some upgrade work. Any information, wiring diagrams, links or pointers would be welcomed.

You should be able to get the headlining out through the passenger door. If the "biscuit" crumbles a bit around the edges dont get too concerned as the new trim material will cover any nasties.
