Can anyone recommend an automatic transmission rebuilder for my BW12, other than G Whitehouse (£2,750+Vat).
Thanks.

Re: 205/70r15 Tyres - What are people buying?
Malbasys730 - I ended up buying the Uniroyal Rainexpert 5 205/70/15, as I'm trying to save money but draw the line at the generic Chinese tyres at £50-ish that are labelled as having poor stopping ability. There really was nothing else in a mid to premium modern tyre with a minimum H (130mph) rating...

Re: Bodyshop for windscreen surround repairs
Ahh, yes, I've heard of them before but not in relation to bodywork, thanks Andy. You are not too far from North Wales Jag Centre. I have not used them myself but have heard good things about them.

Bodyshop for windscreen surround repairs
Hello all, I am based near sunny Stockport and will be looking for a bodyshop to remove windscreen, remove rust, paint, seal and carefully put it all back together again without breaking the windscreen and whilst getting it all to fit..... Therefore I'm just wondering if anyone has had this done AND...

Re: 205/70r15 Tyres - What are people buying?
I think the KWE info is a bit dated (P4000 not made for a long time) and they seem to favour low profiles and wider tyres. Would a 215/65/15 be ok on a standard S3 Pepperpot? There is a wider choice in that size. By my calculations the sidewall would be 139.75mm as opposed to 143.5mm of the standard...

Thanks for the replies. Yes, I’ve been happy with Blockleys but was just wondering if there was a cheaper option (things are all a bit tighter these days aren’t they!) that anyone has used. I’ll have a look at the KWE link, thanks for that.

I should have said, there are other tyres available in that size but they are all 4x4 or van tyres.

205/70r15 Tyres - What are people buying?
Hi all, I’ve just bought a Series 3 XJ6 that needs 5 new tyres amongst many other things. Choice seems to have dwindled since I last bought some for the E Type. I bought Blockleys for the E but (to keep costs down) I don’t mind buying more modern looking things for the XJ6. So far, apart from Blockl...

Garage Recommendation for North Cheshire / S. Manchester
Is anybody able to recommend a mechanic who knows E types (or classic Jags in general) not to far from me (I'm in Bramhall, near Stockport) so Cheshire, Manchester, Lancs?
Thanks in advance.
Thanks in advance.

Re: Tyres for V12 E?
After the overwhelming number of replies/opinions to this post :D I decided to go with the 205/70/15 Blockley radials and save £200 a set on the Pirelli's. If anyone else is interested or looking for tyres for their series 3, you can get Vredestein Sprint Classics online at Camskill for around the s...

Tyres for V12 E?
Anyone bought tyres for their S3 V12 recently? The P4000's are long in the tooth and one has picked up a large nail. Having done a quick search, it seems that it's either Pirelli CN12 £238.80 at Longstone or Blockley at £149. I don't seem to be able to find anything modern in that size with W speed ...

Re: Gap between windows and top of hood V12 Roadster
Thanks Richard, yes, I'll give Aldridge a call.Looks like the fabric's contracting and pulling the frames back?
Especially since it's happening on both sides?
Take it back to Aldridge, their prices do cover advice on this sort of thing at least

Gap between windows and top of hood V12 Roadster
Apologies if I'm missing something or being daft but with the hood up and the both the passenger and driver's doors closed and windows fully wound up, there is a gap (side to side, not top to bottom) of about 1cm between the hood and the top of the window, so that the windows are outside the hood an...

Re: Headlining - the different GRP products or recover OE?
Thanks for your replies. In view of my experience with a trimmer replacing the XJ40 headlining and it coming down 6 months later, I think GRP is probably the way to go unless someone knows differently. I saw a video which showed how flexible the myrtle/jaguarheadlinings.com one is and it rolls up to...

Headlining - the different GRP products or recover OE?
The garage owner who I'm taking my car to in Macclesfield says he can always tell straight away cars that have been fitted with GRP headlinings and that they don't feel as right as those with foam. I presume this is because they don't kill sound as well as the original etc. He does fit them though a...
