Hi Paul,
Have you checked that the choke is turning off ? The choke staying on will cause those problems.

Hi Phil
I fitted a Dynalite rac023 made by Powerlite to my mk2 they convert your dynamo to a alternator so it still runs the power steering pump. I shopped around there suppliers and found one for around £400. The advantage being it still look like the original dynamo.

Hi, my 62 mk2 has blue tinted lighting but I think later models had green tinting,
I've fitted white led bulbs to my instruments and they are hundred times better
than the standard bulbs but still show some blue tint.

I have Vredestein classic sprint tyres fitted, I got them on the internet from My Tyres and had them delivered to my local tyre fitters to have them fitted because even though they stock Vredestein tyres they could not source that tyre in that size. The Borg Warner DG [Detroit Grears] box is pre BW35, I hope it is working
ok because it cost double the amount to fix compaired to bw35.

Hi all, my car is already neg earth the problem is battery drain due to modern radio and clock. If i start the car I need to go for a drive to charge the battery back up [not a bad thing as I love driving the car] but a problem if I just want to get something out of the garage as the dynamo wont cha...

Hi, has anyone fitted a Dynalite or Dynator to there cars if so do they work ok?
I've got power steering with the pump driven by the dynamo so these dynamo conversions seem to be the best solution to change from a dynamo to alternator.

Hi, I think there is a nylon spring clip pt no 10484 that fits on the
switch which make contact with the colunm clip. I would phone them and ask.

Hi, they are self cancelling it just done with a simple clip on the
steering column which is ajustable.

Has anybody fitted any tyres other than Dunlop? if so have they worn any
better, my rear tyres have lasted about 22000 miles but the centres have
worn down before the outer edge.
