Euro 4 Emission Standards
The Ultra Low Emission Zone that will come into effect in London in April 2019 will charge petrol cars that do not meet Euro 4 standards. Euro 4 applied to all new cars from 2005 onwards, but some cars before that date would be Euro 4 compliant. My S Type was registered in July 2004. Is it likely th...

Re: Rear Electronic Module
Problem solved ! A local garage here in Spain fearlessly removed the old module and plugged in the new, and all the electrical problems (essentiall consisting of spurious error messages) have gone away. Fingers crossed !

Re: Rear Electronic Module

LPG conversion - London Emission Zone impact
Yes, when I went into the LEZ site, I also got the reply that the XJS was not subject to .... But being of a sceptical frame of mind, I keyed in the number of a Chelsea tractor sitting outside (a BMW X5 I think) which surely would be subject to charge - and I got the same reply. I think all that the...

LPG conversion - London Emission Zone impact
Thanks very much for the link. However, I have already been there once. That and related sites seem to provide info on the carbon emission of recent models but not older ones. But I wil go back again and see if I can learn more. Why do you say your 1993 car will not be affected ? My understanding is...

LPG conversion - London Emission Zone impact
I wonder what are the CO2 emissions of a (well maintained) 4litre XJS (1994)(convertible) and what they would be if the car was converted to LPG. The big question is whether the emissions would then be below the 225gm level which puts cars into the punitive band G ! Below this level there will proba...
