Re: Series 2 Rear Parcel Shelf - Centre Fitment?
Hello Mike and thanks for the link to the parts catalogue. Definitely not a bolt where I am in the process of making a shoe attached to a piece of coolant hose (of correct length) into which I can then insert one of those plastic fir-tree type fasteners to hold the rear of the parcel shelf down and ...

Re: Series 2 Rear Parcel Shelf - Centre Fitment?
FWIW the parts book does show a single vertical bolt (BD48277/1) as well as the two outer seat belt fixing bolts. Since this rear parcel shelf/air extraction part of these cars is an area that only rarely needs to be taken apart, it would be helpful if you could post some pics of the pieces you're ...

Re: Series 2 Rear Parcel Shelf - Centre Fitment?
Thank you Mike. However, with a bit thought, it becomes obvious because the plastic bit will only fit and align with the bolt-hole in one orientation ... the spacer (missing) could potentially be substituted with a piece of coolant hose of the correct diameter and cut to the right length? Neverthele...

Series 2 Rear Parcel Shelf - Centre Fitment?
Hello, hopefully a simple question ... I am refitting my Rear Parcel Shelf after 20 years and have lost all of my photos (and my memory) ... the two outer bolts that secure the parcel shelf are obvious, but the centre bolt, any spacers and the thin plastic rectangular object underneath - this is a m...

Re: 1987 Series 3 Elec Wiring Diagram - Harness Numbers and within?
Does the S111 Jaguar wiring diagram manual that shows all the Harness positions and connection points; together with the parts manual that shows you all the Harness numbers, not give sufficient basic info to then work out the various harnesses that you have? Thanks Paul, but I am not aware of a Ser...

1987 Series 3 Elec Wiring Diagram - Harness Numbers and within?
Hello, I have a 1987 Series 3 XJ12 Body Shell in which I am routing all of the wiring harnesses (they are currently in a big box) ... some of the OEM Harness Tags have detached, but it would be really useful if somebody could assist me by identifying 'what' each numbered harness does (what they conn...

Re: Wanted - Series 3 Facia for Clock not Computer
Thank you Ray,
Probably the light reflection - photograph taken from a picture as I do not have an original item - also, want walnut ... the link is great but £195 + VAT is a little rich for me. Was hoping for good second-hand.
Many thanks again.

Wanted - Series 3 Facia for Clock not Computer
I am looking for a XJ6-12 Series 3 Facia (as per picture) in good condition ... to accept a clock, not the computer?
Many thanks

Re: X150 (2014) Connector next to Battery - What is it?
Okay - thank you very much ... Having 'just' bought the car, there are a few gremlins that I am trying to resolve ... finding that some of them are Operator Error through not knowing 'how' stuff works - Front Parking Sensors as an example: didn't know that they did not switch on automatically at low...

X150 (2014) Connector next to Battery - What is it?
Hello All, Recently bought an X150 (2014) Signature and changed the battery - JEC article was extremely useful - but, whilst changing the battery, I noticed a White Connector that was hanging between the battery and the SatNav Unit that was not connected to anything ... cannot see where it might fit...

Re: XK8 (2014) Elec Folding Wing Mirror - Motor Noise but Doesn't
Hello All,
Removed cover but fold mechanism seems to be inside the arm attaching mirror to door - looks like I will need to remove the mirror, thus, probably need to replace as a unit ...
Many thanks

Re: 1990-91 Series 3 ABS Wiring Loom Assistance?
Hello all, Was hoping that an ABS-fitted Series 3 owner might have seen my post - still hoping - I think that my unknown wire is an earth that connects near the top of the N/S inner wheel arch, but does it? Still standing by to discuss and/or share a photograph ... Many thanks Wolfgang Dibden Purlie...

Re: 2014 XK Signature Main Battery Replacement?
Thank you Mike, I was a little concerned that the 190mm height might cause me an issue, but was also focussed on the additional capacity a taller battery would provide - yes, not a daily runner so extra capacity an important consideration for me. Just bought a 100Ah Exide from 'carbatterymarket' who...

Re: 2014 XK Signature Wheel Size-Replacement?
Thank you Mike, very informative ... I had just stumbled across a Jaguar Sales Brochure for the Signature and read that 20-inch wheels were 'standard', thus answered my own question. Will keep the 20-inch wheels as anything different would not be a standard fit - and, as you mention, probably retrog...

2014 XK Signature Wheel Size-Replacement?
Hello All, I have just bought a 2104 XK Signature which is fitted with 20-inch wheels ... I commute to Lincolnshire where the XK is a great car, but a bit 'solid' to drive over the uneven Lincolnshire roads. It has been suggested that I might change the 20-inch wheels for 19-inch to 'soften' the rid...
