What Sat Nav do you use?
Nav Man and it's rubbish. Some Postcodes don't exist and some areas are incorrect. Eg Wallasey (near Liverpool) doesn't exist, all roads are under Birckenhead. It's rubbish and I won't be buying another Nav Man

Loss of power
Thanks Guys
Check the easier thing first before the petrol tank change.
With the distributor rotor possibly tracking, how do I check this? If I change the rotor arm would this cure it or should I look at replacing something else?

Re: Loss of power
Hi if its a Marelli ignition system check the distributor rotor for tracking and burn through. they are known to short circuit down to the distributor spindle. Best not drive it until you check it takes one bank out of operation. regards Kels. P.S. This can damage the catalytic converter and in extr...

Loss of power
Hi Driving my XJS today and I experienced a loss of power. Didn't feel like it was missing but it was doing 5mpg and ran like an 1,000cc car. Would it be a plug etc, fuel or electrics. Lasted for 4 miles then cleared. It then came back intermitently. Not sure what this could be as i've not experienc...

Re: Petrol Tank won't fill
Hi I have had problems with strange readings on my Cabriolet. It turned out the tank sender was faulty. The floats are also known to be a problem when they fill with fuel. I used a stick down the filler, to dip the tank when it said empty, this confirmed I still had gallons of fuel Regards Kels If t...

Re: Petrol Tank won't fill
Jeff Turbo,
Why not just syphon the fuel out and then note how much you put back in and start from there in terms of working out how much it can hold?
Paul
Thanks. I will try that in the future as i'm in no hurry at the mo.

Re: Petrol Tank won't fill
Jeff How do you know it's only three-quarters full? Is this based on what the gauge is telling you? If so I would say the gauge is probably misreading due to gauge/sender unit fault. You could try earthing the "live" wire from the sender and then the gauge should read full. Thus eliminating the gaug...
