Hi Chris,
did you remove the egr and clean it, or just spray in via the air intake?

Still waiting delivery of the valve, seems like theres a few diffrent ones and dearer ordered the wrong one first time round. Good old lancaster ...

CD player failure
I had the same problem, after disconnecting taking apart and cleaning out with air line it was still the same. I took it to an Alpine dealer and the fault was the laser had failed. they repaired it at a cost of £95 and all is well now.

facelift Headlamp removal
Thanks for the tips lads. On close examination there were 5 torx bolts(Torx30) One hidden at the top.
The adjusters were well jammed, two days with plus gas and WD40 and they have shifted, hooray.
Hope the setting is correct for the MOT, the old chalk line on the garage wall trick.

Facelift Headlamp Removal
As the off side headlamp adjusters on my 1994 facelift have stopped working I have tried to remove the headlamp assembly to try the WD40 trick. The only problem is after removing the 4 torx screws the headlamp mounting refuses to come out. Is there another hidden screw, or something the manual misse...

Hi Peter, i saw this one on the message board and replied with some info that might help. I will copy it here for anyone watching the thread. This is for late models, according to the documents 1995 to 2000 as fitted to late XJS's and early XK8's. There was also some comments about US model XJS's fr...

Indicator Repeaters
Hi, has anyone changed the indicator repeaters on a 94 facelift?? Mine have rusted away inside.
The manual says just press and move to the left to release!! I nearly believed it.
Don’t really want to remove the inner wheel arch shield.

CD Multichanger
Hi, I have the same radio and I connected the Alpine CHM-S630 which I purchased from http://www.addacdchanger.co.uk. Cost was around £130 and it was a straight plug in to the plug in the boot.
