classic le Mans
We'll be going to Classic le Mans in 2018 and as we went in a noisy Ferrari in 2016 we'll probably use the Suffolk this time. We camp with Speed Chills just across the road from ACO stands. Brilliant setup. No need to move the car from arrival to departure! Night racing is all the more enjoyable whe...

Re: Where is Suffolk SS
Hi All, I completed my first Suffolk SS100 in 2009 (I think). My second is an ongoing project ..... trying to build it better than the first. The first has taken me to Le Mans Classic and four tours of Spain with Roger and Classics on the Road, wonderful trips. The 2017 event didn't happen for vario...

Re: Replica Insurance
Hi, I was with Footman James for a long time and was very satisfied with their service, although I didn't ever make a claim. I switched to Norton/Heritage over five years ago as I was tired of having different policies and renewal dates for each car. FJ did not offer a 'family fleet' (classics and m...

Re: Snetterton VSCC race event
I met a Suffolk owner at Snetterton, with, if memory serves, a wife called Pamela. If he would PM me I have some news for him.

Re: Nostalgia XK120 build
a great tale and inspiring story. I'll pass it to a friend who asked about 120 self-build kits only yesterday.

Re: Has anyone had to get a new windscreen for a Suffolk SS1
Neil,
the one thing to watch for, especially if there is a chance you will need to do IVA at some point is to have the glass properly e-marked.
Have you asked Philip (or Roger who is away) if he can help?
Good luck,
Mike

Re: suffolk tour of spain
My wife Sally and I have been on three Suffolk tours to Rioja Spain, in 2013, Spain and Porto in 2014 and the Pyrenees in 2015. All have been wonderful trips largely thanks to the local knowledge and experience of the Classics on the Road team Juan, Diego and Stewart. They have taken us to many hidd...
Re: Welcome
Hi, despite having built two Suffolk SS100s over the last few years I was totally unaware of this forum and suspect that other owners are also in the dark.
I found the thread about suspicion bushes interesting and worrying!
