Just to update everyone. I have now disposed of the vehicle as even if the cutting out problem had been fixed I wouldn't have had any trust in it. I have gone from the sublime to the ridiculous and have bought a Honda Insight, so have gone from a 3.2 engine to a 1.3 with hybrid back up. £15 a year r...

After having had two fuse boxes replaced the problem still re-occured. Have now had damaged ECU sensor pins repaired and had right hand rear sensor replaced and link loome replaced. Will have to wait and see if this has finally solved the problem. I did take a copy of springelecs pdf's to the garage...

Having bought a new battery approx 2 months ago, I have still been having the problem with these error codes and engine being put into limp home mode. The last time was on the outside lane of the M25 but luckily it was mid morning and not too busy and was able to get to hard shoulder. Turned off eng...

I too learnt that the hard way. It took an AA bloke about 30 minutes to get it going again after I moved it up the drive for washing. Now whenever it needs to be moved, I drive it round the block. (about 4 mins running time). Is it cheaper to pay a fiver at Sainsbury's for a car wash or line Gordon ...

Does it do any harm to the electrics if I charge my battery whilst it is still connected? The handbook says that it should be disconnected before charging. I just had loads of error codes and messages causing all sorts of worries and engine going into Limp Home mode. I've had the codes cleared and b...

Cleaning & Polishing
My car is now just over 6 years old. During this time it will have been polished approx. twice a year. There must by now be a build up of polish which I assume will have picked up some ingrained dirt. Is there any rule of thumb as to how often (if at all) you should "T Cut" back the old polish and s...
