Excellent, thank you Stewart.
If you could email your story, plus some pictures to me at X308@jecmodels.org.uk then I'll get that sorted.
Thanks once again,
David

Re: Recognise this XJ8?
Hi Stuart,
Happy to put a 'shout out' in the X-308 model section of the Magazine if you like? It would be nice to know the car's history for a future article.
Best regards,
David

Re: X308 25th Anniversary Event
I’m in, where's the rest of the X308 owners? Come on let’s celebrate this occasion in style! What better place than Jaguar Classic Works at Ryton. Thank you Doug. Yes indeed, I was wondering the same thing... where are you all ? This is a momentous anniversary of the launch of the X-308 and what a ...

X308 25th Anniversary Event
Dear fellow XJ8 owners, In my role as your X-308 Model Section Coordinator I am in the initial stages of organising a formal get-together to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of the launch of the X-308 to take place later this year. The plan is to line up as many X-308s as we can along the impressive f...

Re: new xj8 owner in plymouth
Welcome Viago, I'm sure you'll enjoy your newly found 'lord of the manor and king of the road' status. The rest of us certainly do  Also, if you would like your XJ8 to feature in the X-308 section of the monthly magazine, by all means send your story to me at x308@jecmodels.org.uk By the way, t...

Re: Non start in Park
Most probably the transmission Linear Switch needs adjusting. If that doesn't work then you may have to replace it. Instructions on how to do this is in Section 8.1, Page 19 of the X-300 Workshop Manual. Available in PDF format. If you can't find one online, PM me and I'll send you a copy.
Re: E10 Fuel
I only ever use ESSO Synergy Supreme+ 99 fuel in my Jags. 0% ethynol. Unfortunately it's not available in all parts of the UK. I have laid up the XJR for the winter with the tank filled to the brim.

Re: Starting Problem
BELATED UPDATE: Shortly after reporting the problem on here the car wouldn't start at all. Would crank for England but not fire. No pressure at fuel rail... dud primary pump me thinks. Had both fuel pumps changed by my local Indy expert and hey presto! Problem sorted. Many thanks for all your help a...

Re: 1996 XJ Sport not cranking
Thanks Mike, as you suggested it was indeed the battery. It would happily take a charge to 100% with no problem, but quickly drained away to 9.4 volts when turning on the ignition, i.e. with just the cooling fans running. Never seen that before. New battery... sorted!
