Thanks for your reply, the car at present is fitted with springs supplied by Ken Jenkins and there is little compliance with them and the car sits to high. I am planning to replace the current springs with a set of 420 springs.

420 front axle fitted to my MK2
Has anybody fitted a front axle from a 420 into a MK2 ? I had my MK2 fitted with the front axle many years ago, I need to change the front springs now and I'm sure that you have to shorten the springs by cutting of the top coil. Any information would be gratefully appreciated

head light bulbs
Looking to upgrade the headlight bulbs on my Soveriegn, has anybody fitted Osram nightbreaker to their car. Althought the reports on their website so how good they are many customers complain of short bulb life, any advise would be mosy welcome.

I will give them a try, I have looked at Vredestien who list 15 inch winter tyres but not sure if you can use them on wire wheels. Hope to see you again at one of the events next year.

winter tyres
Has anybody fitted winter tyres to their MK2?, I am planning a trip to Switzerland and Austria this winter and to comply with their driving rules I will need to have winter tyres on my car which has wire wheels. Any help will be much appreciated.

Damp proofing
Hi Simon I have sealed the concrete floor in my garage with Garage floor paint made by International Paints Ltd it comes in a red tin and is avaliable from good diy stores. Not sure what you an do for the walls though. I run a dehumidifier in my garage its a graet help keeping the car dry especially...

Not sure which heading this fits under but here goes... I have recently acquired a garage near my house which the S type just fits in (1" to spare) but it seems to a bit damp and the car seems to have a fair bit of condesation on it, especialy in the recent damp weather. It's a standard 1950's pre-f...
