hi guys ive just had same problem with my xk8 which had been in garage unused for 8 weeks so thanks for the remedy

hi david no it w as just a service , i got a new thermostat and water pump fitted under warranty but thankfully never had to carry out any other repairs my car is a 2000 w reg xkc cab and only needs a major service every 35000 mile and was told the timing chains were ok what do you have cheers george

hi i booked my car into clelands in the borders for a service they picked up my car and returned it great service £330 ,dont know an independant though

hi ive just been quoted £616 for a 60000 ml service at stratstones in edinburgh while clelands in the borders quote was £339.73 , quite a difference , has anyone found a better quote cheers

hi wiil do i had a warning message come up on my dashboard re coolant level so i took the car to the garage and within an hour they phoned me to say that there was traces of metal in my coolant which indicated that the water pump was gone so try checkin that cheers

hi i got the autoglym kit for the roof from halfords for about 26 quid it does a good job but is a messy thing to do, but i havent had car out in the rain so i dont know if it made a difference yet cheers george

hi grand tourer my cars a 2000 xk8 con with 53000 on the clock with full jag sh dont know if tensioners etc have been chaned do i need to do that cheers
