Hot Pot Run - June 2009
Hi John I am a new recruit to the JEC. I read about the Hot Pot Run in this month's mag. I would like to come along & look forward to meeting some fellow members in the North West. Where is the run likely to start / finish? I am also hoping to go on the Manchester to Blackpool run, presumably there ...

No Michael, its a piece of cake putting pictures on the Gallery; just follow the instructions, try it! Please give Dougie my kind regards, and tell him John was asking about him. I don't see why you can only come in the school holidays. If your wife is teacher and needs to do the marking at weekends...

Hello from a Birmingham Jaguar owner
Hi Michael I want to carryout the exhaust mod you have done on my coupe, but I am concerned that exhaust note might be too much on a long run, I realise you have a convertible but have you found it to be unobtrusive with the hood up? The XK8 Forum organised a 'run' in the Ribble Valley last Septembe...

Hi Mike! Many thanks for your comments, they are much appreciated. I have spoken to many people on the subject, and together with your and other Forum replies, I think I now understand the problem and have managed to have a reasonably well informed discussion with the local Jaguar man with whom I ha...

Thanks for the advice Karl. I have checked out other XK8's and mine certainly has a loose rear bumper. I have had 3 independant examinations and they all think it could be a broken fibre glass bracket that is part of the bumper fixing. The problem is you can't see very much at the back of the bumper...

Loose Rear Plastic Moulded Bumper
I have just notice that there is vertical movement of about 1/8 of an inch between the top face of the bumper and the body work. Checking other XK8's and 'R's it appears that this movement is not present. It is difficult to see how the bumper is attached to the body and I wonder if anyone else has h...
