I have had the same trouble that it was impossible to get the chrome on after the window was mounted. Later I heard that the chrome shall be mounted on the rubber before installing the window. I´m not sure if that is right but it might be worth trying.

thanks for the info.I have seen one Mk2 here in Sweden and it looked great. I just have to do some body work on it before I do the paint job so hopefully it will be painted in not a to far future.

does anyone got a summary of the color codes that were used in 1966?
My 3,4 is painted in horrible (volvo! )color by one of the earlier owners and now try to find the original. I think the name is opalecent dark green.
