Hi
Has any body out there had experience of running a S-Type V6 2.7 TDi Sport 6SP 206BHP Manual. Quite rare I believe. I presume the 6SP indicates a sports pack. This engine has a cam belt and is twin turbo charged.
Any info/ experiences would be appreciated.
Many thanks
Peter

X-Type Steering Wheel
The steering wheel airbag cover is showing a square indentation. Probably caused by pressure from the airbag over time. (53 Reg). The cover is raised slightly from the rest of the steering wheel. Is there a fix for this? Perhaps the cover removed and the airbag reset? Has anyone else experienced thi...

Re: Warning Messages in the cold weather
Hi all, Thanks for your experiences regarding cold weather faults. Fairly common by the sound of it, good old Jaguar. I was under the impression that Jaguar tested their cars in sub zero conditions during development, would have thought they might have spotted this! To be fair it dosen't seem to hap...

Warning Messages in the cold weather
Hi This very cold weather causes fault messages ie. Gearbox Fault, Trac Off, Restricted Performance to scroll in the message window when starting my 2000 X Reg XJ8. If I let it warm up until the temp gauge reaches its normal setting, switch off, wait a few seconds and restart all these messages go a...

Water Leaking into XK8
Hi Has anyone experienced water leaking around the drivers door. The black cloth like strip which joins the metal kick strip is getting wet from a point just level with the fuse box lid. (No water in the fuse box) Water trickles down the inner edge of the black strip and makes the carpet wet where t...

Re: Key fobs not working
Hi all those who gave advice re my XK8 key fobs not working.
It was simple, wrong batteries. These fobs require two CR2016, not one CR 2032.
My 2000MY Xreg XJ8 has an update which advises the use of 1 CR2032.
All very confusing!!
Cheers
Peter

Cannot open boot lid on W Reg XK8
Hi All I have accidentally pressed the Valet button. According to the Drivers Manual the only way to open the boot is with the black key. However, the key tuns in the lock but dosen't unlock the boot. I suppose the lock has't been used for sometime, I have only just bought the car so am getting aqua...

Re: Key fobs not working
Hi Allan The re-prgramming procedure worked up to the point where I had to press a button on the fob in the hope that the red light on the J gate would respond. It didn't, no matter which buttons I pressed the J gate light refused to respond. This was the same result for both fobs! Fobs still would ...

Key fobs not working
Hi Can anyone tell me how to re-program the key fobs. Both my fobs (for my XK8(W reg) have started working intermittantly and now won't work at all. I'm having to lock via the key. Any suggestions why this happens? I see it has been suggested that static from bags/pockets can corrupt the code. Both ...

Re: XK8 Floor mats
Hi all Re mats for my XK8 (W). Thanks Nick for the part numbers. I rang David Manners and although they list this part number they have to order them from Jaguar. Jaguar don't have any and are unlikley to restock. So my quest goes on. I will try other suggested outlets. Keep me in mind if anyone hea...

Re: XK8 Floor mats
Hi Nik
Thanks for the reply re the mats.
I will try David Manners. The mats I need should have two holes in each
mat to go over the hooks on the floor.
Many thanks. If you decide to sell yours let me know!
Cheers

XK8 Floor mats
Hi, I am trying find a set (2) of 'Sable' floor mats for my XK8 (W). I am told that these mats were factory supplied as standard when the car was new. Therefore the mats were not listed as an accessory. Holland Brothers of Lincoln have trawled their UK and Europe parts database without success. If t...
