Was your car failed because the sidelights gave a blue hue?

If that is so then they were right to issue a failure. Although common sense could have prevailed and they could have said go change them and we will issue a pass.

Thanks for that Joe. Hust had a read and I certainly will not be getting involved in fitting different bulbs.

Hi Colin E, Yes I would be tempted to put headlamp convertors on for the initial trip to France and replace the headlamps when you get there. Once there find a wall. Park your car roughly two feet from the wall. Remove your headlamp convertors and shine your headlamps on the wall and mark the patter...

Hi Guys, I agree, the insurance market is wild out there. I settled with a quote from Norwich Union. Comprehensive with named driver £336 and all the right buttons clicked. Legals, courtesy car like for like, windscreen etc, etc. £250 excess and NO excess on glass or in car entertainment. Five years...

My mate who has a Daimler Super 8 like mine has just been lording it up to me re his side reflectors on the Daimler...he has converted them with a bulb ect that lights up each one with the sidelights.........so would this be illegal too.?...........it looks good but if its illegal it wont pass an MO...
