Re: Remapping
Good to see the V8 responds better han the V6 petrol (like one I had). How did the torque increase with the upgrades go Mike? As I understand it BHP maintains speed once moving but its the torque that gets the car off the line which could proove all important in the 1/4 mile dash. Given your cars ex...

Re: Remapping
Just a quick update re chipping I sold my ProBitz chiip and went for an invisible remap last year by Big Fish Tuning (after looking around). Power/torque is noticeably better than with the chip (which could only be turned up so far without a Restricted Performance alarm on the dash and power cutting...

Re: Electrics Gremlin
Last place I would trust is KrapFit for checking my battery. When mine was replaced under warranty it had to go to a dealer and be left overnight (after the cars systems had shut down) in order for them to be able to go through a predetermined routine set by Jaguar to test the battery. Might also be...

Good to learn something new as I'd always thought it meant SovereignThe Vanden Plas cars are known as Daimlers over here and are very rare

After a superb and very successful Northern Day
Superb??
It was a monsoon for hours, we had to sit in the car watching DVDs for fear of getting drowned while getting the umbrella out of the boot!

Re: Southern Day 2011
Make the most of it as its the last one for 2 years! I heard at Newby last weekend that the 2012 Southern Day has been cancelled due to the Olympics and worse still the more popular Northern meet next year (the biggest Jag meet of the year anywhere!) has been cancelled so that one can be held way do...

Odd noise
For around 18 months- 2 years my car has been making a strange noise and have had no success with finding the cause from dealers/specialaists/run of the mill garages. Took it to Newby today to seek expert advise from XJK but the noise wouldnt make itself known when they drove it. Whenever there is n...

Re: Mega Factories Jaguar XJ
Visited the factory day before the X350 seminar and well worth the free visit
Enjoyed watching the program, was hoping to see the secretive paint shop on there but cant blame them for not wanting any risk of contamination from a film crew.
