The rear subframe on my 2002 4 litre is in poor condition. I had it welded, which got it through the MOT.
But I’m not comfortable with a welded rear subframe. Any body know where I can get a new one, or a good reconditioned one?

Coolant Expansion Tank.
The coolant expansion tank in my car is leaking, and I’m finding it very difficult to get a new one, either genuine Jaguar or aftermarket.
Does anybody know where I can get a new one?
Alternatively, has anyone tried to repair them? If so, how and with what success?
Thanks for any advice.

Battery replacement.
My old 4 litre V8 S-Type needs a new battery. Any recommendations as to make and model of battery? Once the battery is replaced, do I need to do anything, or reset anything?

What Tyres?
My car has 235/50 17 wheels. I used to fit Pirelli tyres. I like Pirellis, but they don't make tyres in that size any more. So I switched to Goodyears instead. But now it looks like Goodyear have also stopped making them in that size. So, what's the alternative? Any recommendations?

Re: Engine Cleaning.
It's just the dirt accumulated over 22 years and 108,000 miles. I want to bring the car back to showroom condition.
You've answered my question.
Thanks.

Dash cams.
I'm thinking of getting a dash cam. I would prefer one that runs on its own rechargeable battery so it doesn't need to be connected the the car battery. I want to be able to use it in different cars.
Any thoughts, ideas, recommendations, or experience?

Re: Fuel Pipe Problem.
Thanks for the response. Trawling round breakers yards is something I would prefer to avoid, except as a very last resort. I would rather locate a new part if possible.

Fuel Pipe Problem.
I have a 2001 4 litre V8 and I've hit a problem. The fuel pipe connects to the fuel filter with a plastic clip. When we disconnected the pipe in order to replace the fuel filter, the old clip was brittle and no longer usable. This clip used to be supplied as part of a new fuel pipe, but not any more...

Rust Proofing.
I'm looking to get my old (2002) V8 de-rusted and rust-proofed. I live in Dorset and there are a few specialist firms in the south west that do this type of work. Anybody have any direct experience of dealing with any of them? Any recommendations, who is good or who should I avoid? I've had this car...

Re: Stainless Steel Brake Pipes
Thanks for your advice, chaps. I'm not in a position to make up my own brake pipes; I don't have the skills or the facilities, but mainly because I'm disabled - I've only got one hand. I still need to get a new set of brake pipes to replace the rusty ones. I tried SNGBarrat and Britishparts.co.uk bu...

Re: Stainless Steel Brake Pipes
Mike, thanks for the comprehensive response. I've had my old V8 from new in 2002 and I've replaced the brake pipes once because they were rusty. Now it looks as though I'll have to replace them again for the same reason. I was wondering if there was any way to avoid having to do it a third time in t...

Does anybody out there in Jaguarland know anything about stainless steel brake pipes? Where can I get them? Are they any good? Does anybody have any ideas, opinions, thoughts, or first-hand experience?
Thanks for any help or info.
